So, you’re a beer enthusiast. You plan your trip around a festival, knowing you’ll have plenty of brews to try. But you arrive, and all these festival menus give you is a name, maybe a brewery, and that’s it.

Well belly up, because we are happy to provide you with a scouting report for all 32 beers appearing at the Food & Wine booths. We’ve scrubbed and scoured the internet to bring you descriptions, Untappd ratings (as of Sept. 22), brewery information, and anything else to help you get the most bang for your beer-buying buck.

Note: Descriptions below are research-based, and NOT first-hand accounts. “Not published” means we have no verified figure.

The Beers of Food & Wine

Belgium

Ertvelde, East Flanders, Belgium
ABV: 7.0% • IBU: 26
Untappd: 3.64

Piraat 7 has a pirate name and a rather composed profile: full body, fruity fermentation character, and a sweet-bitter balance. Bottle and barrel conditioning may give this golden Belgian ale more depth — and you know what they say, “Deep beers tell no tales.”

Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium
ABV: 7.0% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 4.05

We wants the red head! Cherries meet wine-oak casks in this Flanders red, with sweet red fruit, tart cherry, and a little almond in the mix. The acidic finish should tame the sweet energy.

(NEW) Watou Blond Ale — Brouwerij St. Bernardus
6 oz $6.00 | 12 oz $9.75

Watou, West Flanders, Belgium
ABV: Not published • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.56

A Belgian blond with an unusually short dossier: neither the brewery nor Untappd has published an ABV, IBU, or official tasting profile. Elusive, like a certain blond Nathan knows.

Bramblewood Bites

Winter Garden, FL
ABV: Not published • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.65

Banana bread has joined the beer itinerary. This German-style wheat beer points toward ripe banana and clove-like yeast character, though there are no formal ABV, IBU, or tasting notes.

Brazil

Canal Winchester, OH
ABV: Not published • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.57

Peach and mango take the front seat in this fruited wheat ale. ABV and IBU remain unpublished, and its Untappd rating comes mostly from festival check-ins, so treat that number as an early scouting report.

Brew-wing Lab

St. Petersburg, FL
ABV: 2.0% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.38

A peanut-butter blondie in beer form. With a 2% ABV plot twist, it is the lowest-alcohol beer on this list. The brewer has not published its bitterness, so we will leave the IBU guesswork at home.

Titusville, FL
ABV: 6.7% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.49

Trick or treat? A stout-inspired flavor profile in a blonde disguise. This golden stout is said to feature pumpkin spice, cheesecake-like sweetness, and a creamy direction.

Jupiter, FL
ABV: 6.8% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.99

Beer for breakfast. Citra and Centennial bring the citrus hop character; maple syrup brings the waffle callback. This American IPA puts breakfast and hop bitterness in the same conversation, which is a fairly ambitious brunch.

Canada

Hamilton, ON, Canada
ABV: 5.9% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.55

Fresh bread, honey, and toast lead this dark-gold festbier. It has a full-bodied but dry profile, soft carbonation, and a smooth finish — perfect for celebrating Oktoberfest stateside (or province-side, as it were).

China

ABV: Not published • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.50

Rice is all we know here. The China booth's pale rice lager comes with a research puzzle. Disney lists Littleton, NH, which could be Schiling Beer Co. — but Untappd credits 3 Daughters Brewing (St. Petersburg, FL), so the producer is unconfirmed; ABV and IBU are unpublished too.

Festival Favorites

St. Petersburg, FL
ABV: 5.0% • IBU: 23
Untappd: 3.48

Here is the easygoing beach day of the lineup: a light blonde ale with gentle malt sweetness, mild citrus hops, and a clean finish. No elaborate treasure map needed to understand this one.

Frankfurt am Main, Germany
ABV: 2.5% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.58

Grapefruit drink meets hefeweizen in a cloudy, sweet-tart pour at 2.5% ABV. Citrus takes the lead, wheat stays soft, and perceived bitterness is low — a lighter stop for the grapefruit-curious.

Broussard, LA
ABV: 4.5% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.96

Strawberry and Cabernet Franc join a tangy Berliner Weisse base. Think bright berry, darker grape, and a sour turn at the end; this one has more going on than its pink-fruit billing suggests.

Flavors from Fire

Longmont, CO
ABV: 5.3% • IBU: 27
Untappd: 3.52

Caramel and toasted grain do the heavy lifting in this malt-forward amber ale. Herbal, lightly citrusy hops follow, then a crisp, dry finish — an orderly little parade of malt and hops.

Forest and Field

Cooperstown, NY
ABV: 7.6% • IBU: 18
Untappd: 3.90

Dark chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and soft vanilla give this imperial stout its Halloween-candy touch. The brewery's profile points to a smooth, medium-bodied beer despite the dessert-sized flavor list.

Fry Basket

Boca Raton, FL
ABV: 5.5% • IBU: 14
Untappd: 3.71

Blood orange is the headline, with tangy citrus, sweetness, and a lightly salty finish sharing the stage. At 14 IBU, this sour's bright pucker should be the bigger story than hop bitterness.

Germany

Festbier — Weihenstephaner
6 oz $6.00 | 12 oz $9.75

Bavaria, Germany
ABV: 5.8% • IBU: 26
Untappd: 3.61

Deep gold, rounded malt, and a firm hop presence: this Bavarian festbier is dressed for festival season. Its full body still leads to a crisp lager finish, so the malt does not overstay the party.

Stowe, VT
ABV: 5.6% • IBU: 30
Untappd: 3.66

Graham cracker, caramel, and bread crust make the malt case for this amber Märzen. Floral, peppery noble hops keep its finish crisp — the sort of autumn story that has a proper ending.

Frankfurt am Main, Germany
ABV: 2.5% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.74

At 2.5% ABV, this cloudy orange spritz is one of the lighter stops on the route. Citrus and gentle sweetness lead, with pithy orange bitterness and soft wheat character in supporting roles.

Hawaii

Wesley Chapel, FL
ABV: Not published • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.80

Lei’d Back is a festival-only double IPA whose official strength and tasting notes are still missing. Early Untappd check-ins mention haze, tropical fruit, citrus, and pineapple; those are visitor reports, not a brewery promise.

Hops & Barley

Boston, MA
ABV: 5.0% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.53

A golden lager brewed on Boston's waterfront, with a wicked clean, crisp malt-and-lager profile. Southie looks like the straightforward option if your taste buds could use a park bench.

Boston, MA
ABV: 5.2% • IBU: 25
Untappd: 3.72

Toasted and caramel malt give this Irish-style red more flavor heft than a pale lager, while modest hop bitterness keeps it balanced. A brick-red detour for anyone ready to leave the light-lager lane.

Portland, ME
ABV: 6.6% • IBU: 65
Untappd: 3.74

Haunted House brings the dark malts and a serious hop bill: roasted barley, Blackprinz, Cascade, Nugget, and Northern Brewer. Coffee-like roast and complex malt meet a firm bitter finish; the 65 IBU is your clue.

India

Bengaluru, India
ABV: 4.5% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.20
Available: October 2

Light grain, restrained hops, and a dry finish make this Indian pale lager a plausible partner for spicy food. It is listed to arrive Oct. 2, so check the booth before building your route around it.

Italy

Peroni Pilsner
6 oz $6.00 | 12 oz $9.75

Rome, Italy
ABV: 4.7% • IBU: 18
Untappd: 3.15

Peroni keeps the brief short: light malt, a subtle citrus note, and a dry finish in a crisp pale lager. Sometimes the Italy stop calls for a familiar pour between more adventurous booth choices.

Japan

(NEW) Sapporo Reserve
6 oz $5.00 | 12 oz $9.75

Tokyo, Japan
ABV: 5.0% • IBU: 18
Untappd: 3.24

Select barley gives Sapporo Reserve a fuller-bodied lager profile, with malt up front, a clean finish, and a small bitter edge. A little more malt presence than a bare-bones refresher.

La Poutinerie

Toronto, ON, Canada
ABV: 5.0% • IBU: 15
Untappd: 2.92

Molson Canadian brings grainy malt, mild hops, and a crisp finish to the poutine neighborhood. A familiar 5% pale lager when the food, rather than the glass, gets top billing.

Chambly, QC, Canada
ABV: 9.0% • IBU: 19
Untappd: 3.95

Grain, ripe fruit, and spice sit above gentle bitterness in this Belgian-style tripel. Be warned: at 9% ABV, La Fin du Monde is the strongest beer on this list.

Mexico

Mexican Craft Beer
6 oz $8.50 | 12 oz. $11.00

The Rey Mysterio special. Disney calls this one only “Mexican Craft Beer.” The producer, actual beer, style, and statistics depend on what the booth pours; we cannot fill those blanks honestly yet.

Milled and Mulled

Lakewood, NY
ABV: 7.0% • IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.69

Sweater weather in Florida?! Caramel malt, creamy vanilla, and buttery toffee make this amber ale sound ready for fall.

Refreshment Outpost

Littleton, CO
ABV: 5.3%• IBU: Not published
Untappd: 3.73

Palisade peach gets the spotlight over a soft, hazy American wheat base. The brewery has not published an IBU; the peach-forward profile makes this one easy to spot on the fruit-beer map.

Swirled Showcase

Melle, East Flanders, Belgium
ABV: 4.1% • IBU: 8
Untappd: 3.69

Strawberry juice joins Belgian wheat beer for a sweet berry lead and a zesty wheat-beer counterpoint. At 4.1% ABV and 8 IBU, Früli reads as a gentle, fruit-forward finish to a 32-beer booth crawl. (Drink responsibly.)

RESEARCH NOTES
  • For many festival beers, Untappd ratings will move as festival visitors add ratings.

  • ABV or IBU marked “Not published” was not estimated. Very new festival beers may have few ratings or no official flavor notes.

  • The descriptions paraphrase brewer, Untappd, and style information. They are not our firsthand tasting notes.
